Alex Jones, 42, was in for a shock on The One Show last night when Matt Baker, 41, asked her to visualise the experience of giving birth to a particularly large baby. The pregnant host, who is expecting her second child, cradled her own bump as the Countryfile favourite shared the surprising story about a 22 foot baby named Ava on the BBC programme. Introducing the news, he suddenly suggested: “Okay Al, you’re going to do a bit of visualisation yourself.” He continued by complimenting his co-host’s growing bump, adding: “Obviously you’ve got a neat little bump there,” to which Alex replied: “Oh thank you!”
However, the exercise became slightly horrifying for Alex when Matt said: “Just a couple of weeks left to go, but just close your eyes and try to imagine a 22ft baby.”
Due to the startling revelation, Alex’s eyes quickly popped open again as she turned around to stare at Matt in astonishment.
The studio then erupted into fits of giggles as the star continued to grimace at the thought of the story.
Going on to explain his bizarre statement further, Matt added: “There’s method in the madness and it’s because a giant baby called Ava is the star of an outdoor theatre show which premiered in Halifax.”
After failing to get the painful image of the oversized baby out of her head, Alex pulled a face as she exclaimed: “It makes me wince.”
