Russian Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation released a video of the special police task force raiding a house in Moscow and arresting several men. The footage shows a group of heavily armed and armoured men using a battering ram to break down the door before filing into the house. It then cuts to three of the seven men arrested men being apprehended at gunpoint.
The video suggests at least one firearm was seized during the raid in addition to a cache of prohibited extremist literature and digital material.
The terrorist cell has been active since November 2016 and tasked with recruiting more members into ISIS ranks.
The investigators state that the ISIS cell had been coordinated by foreign high-profile terrorists from abroad.
Russian citizens, as well as several men from Central Asia and the South Caucasus, are among those arrested.
