As it stands, bookmakers have placed Diana as the most likely name for the name Meghan and Harry’s child. But according to Ladbrokes, the name Allegra has shot up the list and has become the sixth most likely. Allegra was reportedly the name Princess Diana would’ve chosen if she had a daughter.
Reported by the Evening Standard in 2004, Diana’s favourite name was established after her friend, Lady Annabel Goldsmith mentioned it while in conversation with Diana regarded it as a “beautiful” name.
A Ladbrokes spokesman told the Daily Mail: “We’re scratching our heads as to why we’ve seen so much interest in Allegra.
"The bets are coming in thick and fast and it’s been by far the most popular pick of the month with punters.”
