Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri will be hoping his side achieve a vital away victory this evening that would surely put them in good stead to progress to the final of lauded European tournament.
However, the coach has admitted his squad is "in trouble" with regard to centre-backs; the London club currently only have two that are fit to start.
Discussing squad injuries, Sarri said: "We are in trouble with the centre-backs.
"We hope to recover him [Cahill] in one week."
Although winning the Europa League would qualify the Blues for the Champions League next season, Sarri has admitted he would prefer to quality for the tournament through the Premier League.
He said: "The Europa League is a very important trophy.
"But we want to get to the Champions League through the Premier League.
"It's very difficult to arrive in the top four in the Premier League."
