Unfortunately for many across the nation, it will be a freezing start to Friday and the weather will only get worse towards the Bank Holiday. After a fairly hot Easter weekend, there is the chance of “sleet and snow” in some areas as the temperatures plummet. Temperatures will remain below average for this time of year and will be coupled with heavy rain.
Met Office Meteorologist, Alex Deakin said: “It’s going to get colder for the Bank Holiday weekend.
“It’s already starting to turn colder especially across Scotland and there are some heavy showers around.
“There’ll be some lively downpours through this evening over parts of the Midlands, East Anglia and northern England.
“There’ll be some really cold showers across the far north of Scotland that is starting to push further south.
