The Queen’s granddaughter took to social media to treat her 908,000 Instagram followers to the snap, a playful nod to her close relationship with Bea and mum Sarah Ferguson. The picture taken at the Royal International Horse Show in Hickstead in 1996 shows the young princesses wearing matching floral skorts, white T-shirts and hair bows. The girls paired their outfits with bright yellow “muckers” for the outing in West Sussex.
Fergie, 59, is famously close to both her daughters and is sometimes spotted on girly outings and nights out on the town with the pair.
Eugenie, 29, captioned the picture: “#tbt Another classic of us twinning!! #popsocks #bows”.
The photo was taken the same year Prince Andrew and Fergie’s divorce was finalised, four years after the royal couple announced their separation.
The pair have remained close friends ever since and holidayed together with their children when they were growing up.
