Marine Le Pen took a dig at Emmanuel Macron as the French President has struggled to form pan-European alliances despite his pledge to bring European Union member states closer together. President Macron was hailed as the reformer needed to rehabilitate Brussel's image among the public and to usher in a "new Renaissance." But Mrs Le Pen ridiculed the suggestion, telling Euronews: "Emmanuel Macron, who presented himself as a leader in Europe, his movement is not moving at all.
"He doesn’t see anyone, he doesn’t visit any country.
"We don’t even know with whom he will finally form a coalition in the European Parliament."
Emmanuel Macron has been struggling to win back the confidence of the public after months of weekly protests against his proposed tax reforms organised by the yellow vests movement.
Only 25 percent of French people “trust” the 41-year-old centrist, the survey by Kantar-one point for Le Figaro magazine found, down from 26 percent in April.
