Urgent recall warnings are not something to be taken lightly and a number of products available from the supermarkets have been recalled due to dangerous health risks. Customers who have recently been shopping in Tesco or Harrods are urged to check their cupboards and avoid eating one food which could be have been contaminated with E. coli. This infection can cause abdominal pain, diarrhoea and fever and in some cases can cause fatal kidney failure. Shoppers who have been in Tesco or Waitrose are also recommended to return a certain product which may contain pieces of plastic.

An urgent recall has been issued by the manufactures of the cheese, Fromagerie Alpine, due to the possible contamination of E. coli.
The risk applies to the 180g pack size of the cheese and on all lot numbers from 032 to 116.
Products with any used by dates could be affected.
