Kate Middleton married Prince William, 36, in April 2011 at a ceremony at Westminster Abbey.  They have since had three children together, Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and Prince Louis, one.   The Duchess often keeps her children out of the public eye, but she has been spotted using some parenting techniques similar to William’s late mum, Princess Diana.   Body language expert, Judi James, revealed how the Princess and Duchess both tried to create a unified family.

Princess Diana married Prince Charles, 70, in July 1981, and the pair had two children together, Prince William and Prince Harry, 34.

Although Diana was a first-time mum, she took to it naturally, according to Judi James.

She revealed: “Diana may have been a very inexperienced bride and wife but her work in a nursery prior to her engagement to Charles meant her body language as a mother reflected a sense of confidence and ease.

“Diana was super-tactile, although she could be firm as well as besotted, always showing signs of awareness that she was training a future heir to the throne.

“There was a sense of her enveloping her boys in love, building strong emotional ties that meant they were often presented as a strong unit of three rather than four.”

Kate also became a first-time-mum in the public eye, and appeared to copy some of Diana’s techniques when raising her family.

Judi said: “Kate obviously finds it important to create a four - and now five - strong unit and her attention and bonding techniques seem to involve bending to the child’s height to communicate.

“This might suggest a desire to grow their confidence by tuning into them to make them feel more grown-up and independent.”
