The demonstrated was speaking from Parliament Square, where both ‘Leave’ and ‘Remain’ supporters have gathered in recent months. Britain had been due to leave the EU on March 29. However this has been delayed twice, to October 31, unless Parliament approves the Prime Minister’s Brexit deal.
Speaking to Express.co.uk the protestor commented: “I think it’s become bigger than just Brexit now. It’s about democracy.
“If the MPs themselves can’t actually stand up for democracy then why should they even be there.”
He added that he felt his 2016 vote to leave had been betrayed.
The UK is due to take part in European Parliament elections on May 23.
