AJ Pritchard, 24, excitedly announced he will be making his pantomime debut this winter, where he will be playing the lead role in Peter Pan at Dunstable's Grove Theatre. Speaking about the big career move, AJ said:  “Peter Pan has been one of my dream roles since I was a child. “I’m really looking forward to my first pantomime and I can’t wait to not only come to Dunstable, but more importantly to fly to Neverland.” However, some of the professional dancer’s fans grew concerned about the timeline of the show, which runs from December 10 through to January 5, affecting his commitments on Strictly Come Dancing.

Fortunately, according to MailOnline, a source close to AJ suggested that the star’s eyes still are on the prize ahead of the BBC dance competition this year.

AJ, who has narrowly missed out on a place in the Strictly final for the past three years, is said to be hoping to finally get his hands on the glitter ball trophy for 2019.

The source told the publication: “AJ is determined to appear as the winner of Strictly by the time he makes his debut on stage as Peter Pan.

“He's putting everything into making sure 2019 is his year!”

On the subject of the clash between Strictly training and panto rehearsals, the source added: “AJ wants to assure fans that he's focusing on Strictly just as hard as ever this year.
