Just as Express.co.uk predicted, Fortnite season 9 is out on Thursday May 9 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PCs and Mac.
The Fortnite season 9 release date was revealed by Epic Games alongside the first teaser for the upcoming Battle Pass on Twitter.
The Fortnite season 9 teaser shows a mysterious skin and was tweeted alongside the message: “The Future is Unknown. 5.9.2019 #FortniteSeason9”.
Fans have been speculating whether Fortnite season 9 could have a time travel or space theme.
And if that’s the case then maybe these themes are tied into the rumours that the current Fortnite map could get destroyed and replaced with a new one at the start of season 9.
If Epic Games follows previous release schedules then Fortnite servers could go down around 8.30am UK time on Fortnite season 9 launch day.
This could then be followed by the Fortnite season 9 patch releasing around 9am BST, with patch notes out around then as well.
