The Outlander Twitter page has posted a video from the set of the Starz programme and teased some of the central themes of season five.
The video contains footage from main characters Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) who detail what to expect from the season.
Caitriona shared the tweet and excited fans with the caption: “Here’s a little look at our first day of season 5..! Pretty much one block done already! We’ll be on your screens before you know it!!! Can’t wait for you all to see this season.”
Fans were delighted at the progress of filming, with one Twitter fan saying: “Oohhh can’t wait to see it!!!! Droughtlander is too long. Thanks for bringing Claire to life in such an amazing performance.”

The video shows filming in Scotland of scenes at Fraser’s Ridge and revealed a lot of scenes will take place there.
