11.16am update: How Meghan may upset the Queen with decision on how to look after baby

The Duchess of Sussex is said to be set on having an American nanny for Baby Sussex and she is looking for someone to start within the next three months.

Meghan and Prince Harry are also said to be interested in hiring male nanny - known as ‘manny’.

The burden to find the perfect nanny for the baby has been given to a recruitment agency, which will interview candidates who could make up to £70,000 a year if chosen by the Sussex household.

These requirements are very different from what members of the Royal Family usually seek in nannies, which may upset the Queen who is likely to be keen on seeing Baby Sussex having an all-British upbringing.
