Jac Naylor in TURMOIL over #HolbyCity newcomer as she spirals out of control?

Jac (played by Rosie Marcel) was thrown into turmoil when she was reunited with her former college nemesis Kian (Ramin Karimloo) on Holby City a couple of weeks ago when the hot-shot surgeon made a dramatic entrance onto the BBC drama.

From the word go, it was clear Jac still harboured grievances from her past with Kian, questioning his medical practice and his approach to treating his patients.

Although Jac tried to lay down some ground rules for Kian, he derailed her plans at every opportunity, leading her to be somewhat impressed by his surgical skills.

With Kian settling into life in Holby, Jac could start to doubt whether Kian is after her position as Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the hospital.

She’s made that up in her own head

Ramin Karimloo

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk about his character’s relationship with Jac, actor Ramin Karimloo, 40, said: “The rivalries not so much me trying to take her post in the hospital because I don’t think Kian would want that more than a hole in the head because it would be too much paperwork and too much admin and bureaucracy.

“He just wants to be the great surgeon he is and not worry about that stuff, but that ruffles her feathers because there’s things she thinks he does need to worry about because there are rules and people to answer to which Kian doesn’t want to do.

“So, I think they both kind of want the same thing when it comes to the medicine side of things,” Ramin continued.

Asked if he thought Jac saw Kian as a threat, the Holby City newer opined: “Possibly, but she’s made that up in her own head.”

If Jac does begin to overthink Kian’s arrival at the hospital, becoming obsessed with ensuring she maintains her position at the hospital, will the no-nonsense surgeon suddenly being to crumble in despair?
