Change UK spokesperson Chuka Umunna was forced to explain why his party was not as popular as Nigel Farage’s Brexit party according to recent polls. LBC host Eddie Mair demanded an explanation as to why Change UK was failing to draw in voters the same way as the Brexit Party despite insisting that Britons want a change to UK politics. Mr Mair asked: “Do you ever wonder why you aren’t roaring ahead of the Brexit party?”
Mr Umunna quickly replied: “I think there is a wider issue in terms of the debate around the European elections.
“One is, on each side of the fence there are different options.
“So if you were a leave voter you could vote for the Conservative Party, UKIP, the Brexit party and some might arguably say the Labour party as well.
“And there is a range of different options on the Remain side of the argument as well.
“That is the nature of our multi-party system that we have now.
