Season 12 of the CBS series The Big Bang Theory will bring to an end the highly-popular sitcom and fans and cast alike have been emotional as the final episode approaches.
Filming for the final episode finished last week and the stars took to social media to express their gratitude and love for the show and its fans.
Now, Sheldon star Jim Parsons has admitted the most difficult part of the filming was the last group hug before filming started.
He told TV Line: "That was tough. That was the first… miniature death.
"Because everything's a last, suddenly. And that was the first of the evening's lasts.”
The other lasts included saying goodbye to the audience for the final time, working as a cast for the final time and playing the roles for the final time.
Fortunately for Jim, he will continue to play Sheldon in the show’s spinoff Young Sheldon, which focuses on his life.
He revealed: "I will still speak from [Sheldon]'s vantage point. In fact, I've already done voiceovers [on Young Sheldon] from ages that are older than I ever got with Sheldon [on The Big Bang Theory].
"He spoke of his children last season, and obviously we haven't seen that yet. I will get to hear where [the writers'] imaginations take that character… that I never would've gotten to find out otherwise."
Fans would love to see Jim’s Sheldon live on through the spinoff and possibly
