Nigel Farage is the former leader of UKIP, and now serves as a Member of the European Parliament. Currently the Leader of the Brexit Party, last night, he appeared on the Question Time panel. During the programme, the 55-year-old engaged in a heated exchange with Change UK MP Anna Soubry, 62. Ms Soubry accused Mr Farage of presenting “lies and spin” to the audience - before host Fiona Bruce was forced to intervene.

Ms Soubry said: “These are the lies and the spin. Nigel Farage was criticising the return of our customs union and regulatory alignment.”

She also insisted that during the EU referendum, he had promised that the UK would “get a deal”.

He soon hit back with a fiery response, arguing: “I said no deal is better than a bad deal Anna, day after day after day.

“You weren’t listening, were you? God help us.”

What did Mr Farage’s body language reveal?

Body language expert Judi James shared her analysis with Express.co.uk.

“Having stepped back into the Brexit fray, Farage appears to have returned on a cushion of superior status and his body language signals at the point in the debate in this clip with Soubry are a great example of that stance,” she said.
