In recent weeks on Neighbours, Elly (played by Jodi Anasta) has struggled to keep the lie that her unborn is not that of husband Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor).
Her former nemesis Finn Kelly (Rob Mills) recently worked out she is expecting his brother Shaun Watkins’ (Brad Moller) child.
The pair have previously been at odds but Finn has promised not to spill Elly’s lies however she worries that he will soon change his mind.
In upcoming scenes, Finn will assure Elly once again he has changed and is looking out for her but he also convinces her that coming clean is the right decision.
He explains to Elly that her lying and scheming is taking a toll on her and if it continues, it’s likely it will only get worse.
The teacher knows he is right and decides it is time to sit down with Mark and reveal the truth.
Unsurprisingly, Mark is shocked and devastated to learn he is no longer set to be a father as the extent of Elly’s lies are revealed.
Marks insists Elly must move out of their home and warns her he’ll never forgive her for the heartbreaking betrayal.
Making matters even worse, Mark tells his wife he only reunited with her after she slept with his sister Chloe Brennan because she was pregnant.
