Clear skies mean Monday is expected to start off chilly but temperatures will increase as the day goes on, according to the Met Office. Some parts of the country will see a little bit of cloud and rain but it will fade quickly. Later in the week, highs of mid-20s are very likely.
Met Office meteorologist Alex Burkill said: “It's a chilly start first thing on Monday morning but don't be fooled with lots of sunshine to come it should warm up quite quickly as we go through the morning.
“A bit of cloud and rain for northern parts overnight that will be lingering across Shetland first thing but should clear away fairly quickly.
“Elsewhere then lots of clear skies overnight allowing for temperatures to drop fairly low a touch of frost in some prone spots.
