Bradley Walsh, 59, was in the midst of the final chase with contestant’s David and Jan, who had made it to the final round of The Chase, when the moment arose.
After beating off the quizzing mastermind Shaun Wallace, 58, in the first set of rounds, David and Jan were hoping to get their hands on a £9,000 cash prize.
Amongst the flurry of questions, the ITV quiz show host asked the contestants: “The Great Crane Robbery is an episode of which US sitcom?” to which David replied: “Fraser.”
David’s answer was void by Bradley as the host repeated the contestant’s answer with the addition of an ‘I’ giving the name a whole new pronunciation and therefore making the contestant’s answer incorrect.
Give them the money

Viewers at home quickly to to Twitter in response to the pronunciation error, believing the pair should have been given the point.
Although they played valiantly, their efforts weren’t enough as David and Jan left empty handed having been out run by the chaser.
One viewer posted: “The other day the chaser answered a Dyson was a Hoover and was allowed it but its surely a vacuum cleaner??? So Frasier should’ve been allowed #thechase.”
Another added: “Well if you allowed that Frazier answer like you should have maybe they would have won!! Shocking, give them the money #TheChase.”
A third remarked: “How have they not given that geezer the point for “Frasier” on the chase, because he pronounced it “Fraser”!!?? outrageous. I’m fuming about it #TheChase
