Hand luggage on flights can be a nightmare to pack, especially if you’re only travelling with carry on baggage. There are plenty of restrictions in place at airport security which dictate what you can and can’t bring on board a plane. Most people now understand that the 100ml liquid rule is in place - and that anything over that will be disposed of by security officers. However, not all such liquids are obviously liquids which can cause confusion.

One much-loved item people might pack in their luggage is popular hazelnut cocoa spread Nutella.
However, despite its rich, thick and creamy consistency, Nutella is actually classed as a liquid.
This means you can only bring a maximum of 100ml of the popular spread in hand luggage.
Travellers should be careful to adhere to these restrictions when packing a jar of the stuff and other similar chocolate spreads.
