UK weather forecast: the Met Office has warned of high UV levels this afternoon (Image: METOFFICE/GETTY)
The latest Met Office forecast says Wednesday will be a “sunny day” with “clear skies” with “strong sunshine” and “high UV levels”. The pleasant outlook follows a period of unsettled weather for the time of year as the mercury struggled to rise to average seasonal levels. There will however be a “fresher feel” across parts of Cornwall and Devon owing to a “brisk breeze”.
Despite the crisp morning feel Britons are advised to take precautions when venturing out in the sun with “high UV levels” meaning suncream should be worn at all times.
Commenting on the conditions Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin said: “Another day of sparkling sunshine for most on Wednesday.
“The sun will be strong.
“High UV levels for many so you will need the suncream on.”
