The news one guest had died only one week after appearing on the ITV programme shocked the nation this week.
Initially ITV stated they were going to look into what had happened, suspending the programme from its regular slot in the meantime.
Only two days later the channel revealed they had decided to permanently stop production and take the show off-air for good.
The presenter finally spoke out about the news yesterday when he said he was “utterly devastated” by the death of his guest Steve Dymond.
The Daily Mail reported 53-year-old Jeremy would receive a whopping ‘£3 million’ for the premature cancellation of his show.
The publication also reported the presenter had set up his own media company, in an attempt to “safeguard his future”.
They claimed Jeremy registered Hales Media Limited on Tuesday, in fears he could “end up with nothing”.
It was also reported Jeremy was afraid he would “be made a scapegoat” after the TV show was permanently cancelled yesterday.
Now ITV have refuted the claims, stating they’re simply “not true".
