#TheBigBangTheory star Jim Parsons reveals real reason he quit show

The Big Bang Theory jettisoned a number of the show’s actors into stardom, including one of the protagonists’ actors, Jim Parsons.

Jim charmed families all over the world with his rendition of Sheldon Cooper - an eccentric theoretical physicist who frequently gets on the nerves of his friends.

And over the twelve seasons, fans of the show have seen Sheldon grow and change in enormous ways, including starting a relationship, and getting married.

But Jim himself was one of the main reasons the show is coming to an end.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Jim explained: “It was the first time in my life of doing this show that it occurred to me that I might want to not do another contract after [season] 12 was up.

“I don’t know if it’s because I’m an Aries or just because maybe I’m in touch with myself.

“Whatever it is, once I had that thought, I was like, ‘Well, that’s your answer.’”

Jim went on to say there was “no situation” where he realised he had had enough of the show.
