A BBC Question Time criticised the SNP claiming they “speak” for her, during a brutal Brexit tirade. The audience member insisted that despite voting to Remain in the European Union, she accepted democracy, and the fact the whole of the UK voted to Leave. She said: “I am one of the odd people that voted Remain in the EU election. But, I accept democracy. I accept the vote.
“I accept that we voted as the UK, and I object strongly to the SNP thinking that they can take my Remain vote and claim they speak for me. They do not speak for me.”
The Question Time audience member received a huge cheer following her impassioned speech.
Ms Sturgeon renewed her anti-Brexit campaign last week ahead of the European parliamentary elections.
Addressing her party conference in Edinburgh last month, Ms Sturgeon demanded another independence referendum.
