Speaking to Express.co.uk about the response to her appearance Ms Hewertson said: “I mean I’m quite flattered!

“Lots of marriage proposals, lots of date requests.

“Unfortunately I’m a busy woman so I don’t have time to attend all of these dates.”

The UK takes part in European Parliament elections next Thursday.

Polling suggests the Brexit Party is likely to win, with the Conservatives pushed into fourth or fifth place.

Ms Hewertson added: “I think a lot of people were surprised, stereotypically a lot of people who support Brexit are older, there tends to be the stereotype of them all being 50 plus.

“Because I break the stereotype I think that is what struck a chord with a lot of people.
