Here are some of the biggest plot holes from Game of Thrones season 8 ...

Season eight of Game of Thrones has been a fairly divisive one with many fans unsatisfied with how the story has panned out. Other proactive fans have even started a Change.org petition to get the producers to remake the entire season to placate viewers left incandescent with rage. Then again, the final season has also featured some momentous sequences with both the Battle of Winterfell and the Battle of King’s Landing proving to be incredible spectacles ever to be seen on the small screen.

Why did Euron not react when Tyrion revealed he knew about Cersei’s baby?

Many fans were left scratching their heads when Tyrion Lannister (played by Peter Dinklage) tried to reason with his sister Cersei (Lena Headey) and asked her to consider the future of her unborn child while her lover Euron Greyjoy (Pilous Asbaek) stood by her.

Euron didn’t seem to react to the fact that Tyrion somehow knew about their baby or question how he knew.

On top of that, Euron didn’t even seem to wonder if he was really the father of the child.

What was the purpose of Cersei’s pregnancy?

Cersei told her brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) about their child in season seven - which seemed to go against the prophecy she’d been delivered by the witch Maggy the Frog (Jodhi May).

There were questions over whether Cersei was really pregnant at all or if it was a ploy to maintain her grip over Jaime. It feels like it may have been setting up to something bigger that was later scrapped.

In a leaked Game of Thrones season seven script, one scene saw Cersei suffer a miscarriage but the moment never made it into the final cut.

Some viewers are also likely to be questioning why Cersei wasn’t showing any signs of pregnancy, presumably, a significant amount of time had passed between her announcement and the fall of King’s Landing? Perhaps this is more of a cosmetic question.
