Steve McDonald (played by Simon Gregson) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) got a shock blow on Coronation Street last night.
Street Cars’ business has been floundering recently and it’s only gotten worse with news that unseen employee Omar had resigned.
It came as blow to the cabbies on the ITV soap as they’d only just lost another colleague, Brenda, the previous week to a rival cab firm.
Tim broke the bad news to Steve as he spilled: “Omar has gone to work for GoLucky. He’s missing Brenda.”

Viewers were shocked to see a second driver leave, and some speculated there may have been something going on between the unseen characters.
One exclaimed: “The cab office has lost another driver! First Brenda now Omar! #corrie.”
“There is no greater love than that of Omar and Brenda #Corrie,” another mused.
A third speculated: “Omar now... it must be love #Corrie.”
One person who didn’t seem to mind was Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) as she though it would just be one less person to pay.
