The vessels, which often accommodate thousands of people, host a variety of evening entertainment and dinner opportunities, which many guests will want to glam up for. These include everything from theatre shows, to black tie meals. Cruise ships often have very generous luggage limitations, so those travelling can often pack for both.
Yet if they need to get a flight overseas first, to board their cruise ship abroad, they will need to stick to the strict luggage limitations on airlines.
Experts at Supercruises, the UK's first online-only cruise booking platform, have told how Britons can save space in their luggage with one simple trick.
They told Express.co.uk: “While laundry service is available on most cruise ships, this is the most expensive option on board.
“Although you might not want to spend your time on the ship doing laundry, this is a far more affordable alternative and doesn’t take too long.
“The onboard laundromat costs just a few pounds per load and knowing that laundry is available on the ship can help stop you from overpacking.”

So taking a few hours out to wash clothes while on holiday can prevent pricey luggage charges should they overpack.
The expert added: “Packing for your first
