Halfway (played by Tony Clay) had a medical assessment for the army but he faked the severity of one of his old wounds in order to stop him from going back.
His plan worked, but it clearly didn’t sit well with the EastEnders character.
Last week on the BBC soap, a guilt-ridden Halfway went to the playground at sat on the swings, swilling from a bottle.
Clearly struggling, Halfway then brought the bottle down to hit his own leg to harm himself.
But what he doesn’t know is that Ben (Max Bowden) witnessed him hurting himself.
Halfway will get a shock next week on the soap when Ben lets him know what he saw.
It unfolds as he moves into his new flat with Whitney where he is still grappling with his emotions and ends up lashing out at Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith).
