Summer of Rockets is the latest drama from acclaimed writer-director Stephen Poliakoff, which starts tonight (Wednesday, May 22) at 9pm on BBC Two. Toby Stephens leads the Summer of Rockets cast, which also includes Keeley Hawes and Timothy Spall. Linus Roache, Gary Beadle and Lily Sacofsky also star in the BBC series.
Samuel Petrukhin - Toby Stephens
Samuel Petrukhin is, according to a BBC synopsis of Summer of Rockets: “A 40-something Russian Jewish émigré, inventor and designer of bespoke hearing aids [who] is approached by MI5 to demonstrate his work.”
He is played by Toby Stephens, star of Die Another Day, Netflix’s version of Lost in Space and Black Sails.
Richard Shaw - Linus Roache
Richard Shaw is an MP who Samuel is tasked with obtaining information from after the two become friends.
Linus Roach plays him after previously appearing in Homeland, Vikings and Law & Order.
