Corporal of Horse Frankie O’Leary was Harry’s radio operator in the war zone in 2007 and worked by his side in the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. Harry’s brother in arms is among four soldiers to be kicked out of the Army after failing a drugs test in recent days. The 32-year-old was based at Hyde Park Barracks in London but is not believed to have been at the site when he took the test.

CoH O’Leary was part of the mounted procession which travelled through the streets of Windsor for Harry’s royal wedding last May.

The soldier rode at the front of the carriage carrying Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, as thousands of royal fans jostled to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds.

Defence sources told the Daily Mail the four failed drug tests were not connected.

A spokesman for the Army told the Express.co.uk: “The Army has a zero tolerance drugs policy and will not tolerate misuse of drugs in any form or at any time. Any personnel caught taking drugs will be discharged.”
