Stacey Solomon, 29, gave birth to her third son, her first child with Joe Swash, 37, yesterday, with their tot arriving “earlier than planned”. Ahead of their new arrival, the Loose Women panellist addressed why she won’t be taking a long maternity leave. The mother-of-three said she won’t to be able to take months out of her work schedule because she is self-employed and so is her partner Joe. During an episode of Lorraine back in March, she revealed: “I’m not planning on having loads of maternity but I’m not planning on having none.”

She added: “People keep saying I can’t take maternity leave but obviously I can, but we are all self-employed so it is different. We could not be working for the next six months.”
Stacey also previously spoke about maternity leave on Chris Evans’ Virgin Radio Breakfast show.
“I’m self-employed, so if I don’t work, I don’t get paid,” she said.
“In this industry, you can only earn while you’re earning and it might be a situation that I have work now but in six months time I might not.
“I will carry on working.”
