Ant and Dec have been on hand to console and congratulate this year’s hopefuls trying to secure a place in the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent which kick off next week.
Tonight’s show will see judges Simon Cowell, 59, Amanda Holden, 48, David Walliams, 47 and Alesha Dixon, 40, select which 40 acts make it through to the next stage of the ITV talent show.

Commenting on the performance, Simon says: “You know what? This is the sort of thing my son Eric would love.
“What a great end to the show this year,” Simon continues, as Amanda adds: “I loved it and I’m going to kick it off with a big fat woof!”
Reiterating Amanda’s sentiments, Alesha, David and Simon unanimously send the act through, but are left floored by one final surprise.
Before leaving the stage, the dogs take off their heads to reveal their
