#BritainsGotTalent former contestant drops backstage bombshell ahead of live ...

The Britain’s Got Talent live shows will finally kick off tomorrow after weeks of auditions and one former contestant has dropped a major bombshell about what it’s like to take part in the ITV talent show.

Magician Jamie Raven finished in second place on the ninth series of Britain’s Got Talent behind dog trickduo Jules O’Dwyer and Matisse

In an interview with Express.co.uk, Jamie revealed that contestants have no idea whether they are going to progress to the live shows as they are kept separate from acts they know performed well during the audition process.

He confessed: “When you go back for the day to be told whether you’ve progressed or not, they’re very clever with how they do it.

“When they line you up on stage you’re not there with any of the acts that you auditioned with.

“They keep you separated because if I saw that I was standing next to a singer who I had heard Simon Cowell say was the best singing in the world, I would have a pretty good idea I’d be going through.”

When asked whether he was nervous before he auditioned, Jamie admitted: “I had been put under pressure with a few shows before but that doesn’t prepare you in the slightest for the massive operation that is Britain’s Got Talent.”

Jamie has been keeping an eye on this year’s show and revealed who he will be routing for during the semi-finals.

He continued: “My friend Kojo who got the Golden Buzzer, is absolutely brilliant and my friend Matt Sterling is unreal so they’re the two I’m cheering for
