The pair split after pictures emerged in the press of William dancing with a “pretty blonde” woman and Kate confronted him, according to a documentary. She gave William an ultimatum and he called off the relationship. According to the documentary ‘Prince William at Thirty’, uploaded to YouTube in June 2012, the pair redinkled their romance at a particular event, seen as the “catalyst” for their reunion.
On July 1, 2007, William and Harry hosted the Concert for Diana, in memory of their late mother, the Princess of Wales.
It was held on what would have been Diana’s 46th birthday and the star-studded line-up included Elton John, Kanye West, Duran Duran, Take That, Status Quo, Rod Stewart, P Diddy and Lily Allen.
The event also featured speeches from Nelson Mandela, Tony Blair, Bill Clinton and David Beckham.
It was also the first time the public saw William and Kate back together – William was in the front row with Harry and Kate was a couple of rows behind with her brother.
