Britain’s Got Talent 2019 star addresses claims his act was ‘FAKE’ ahead ...

Matt Stirling, 46, impressed the Britain’s Got Talent judges when he showed off his jaw-dropping stunts and magical predictions during Tuesday’s live semi-final show. The professional stuntman came very close to reaching the next stage of the ITV talent competition after gaining a great deal of votes from viewers, but he narrowly missed out on a place in the final to singer and comedienne Siobhan Phillips. However, Matt exclusively revealed to Express.co.uk that not all reactions to his action-packed performance have been positive. The magician recalled a particular comment from a Twitter user who appeared to dismiss part of his semi-final act which saw him flying backwards through a brick wall.

He explained: “I had a tweet from a guy saying ‘well that act was rubbish, that wall was obviously fake.’”

Matt continued: “What are people thinking? Of course it’s fake.

“It’s very strange what people have tweeted.”

The BGT hopeful then admitted he has received some strange requests from fans following his thrilling performances.

He divulged to Express.co.uk: “People have been asking me to set someone on fire and do a high fall from the top of the building at their wedding and I keep saying, ‘no we can’t do that!’”

In terms of his experience backstage, Matt, who works with Firexo to bring safety and effectiveness to his gripping stunts, found the logistics of his act to be challenging to fit into strict time constraints required by the live shows and his first audition.
