This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby has made it clear in the past how much she loves ITV2’s sun-soaked hit Love Island, and the star could barely hide her excitement for tonight’s premiere on This Morning today.
Phillip Schofield felt a bit differently however, and couldn’t resist making negative comments about the potential for the latest batch of islanders to find real and lasting love with one of their housemates.
It all began when the presenting duo met a trio of women who claimed they could see fairies and were convinced they exist.
Jesse Smart then joked Phillip had a “bit of a grumpy gnome” with him, and the host was startled to learn he apparently had a sidekick.
Later Holly was getting excited about the return of the dating show and she came to a realisation.
“We’ve had Love Island marriages, babies, all sorts,” she said with a grin. “But it’s so weird to think that tonight they could be meeting their future husband for the first time!”
Narrowing his eyes at his co-host, Phillip apparently couldn’t ignore last year’s series’ string of failed relationships.
