'We didn't know' Chris Evans former co-host reveals ‘joy’ for Virgin Radio host

Chris Evans, 52, and Gaby Roslin, 54, both fronted the Channel 4 show The Big Breakfast from 1992 and were the first two hosts of the hit morning programme. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she opened up about her relationship with the radio DJ and admitted she knows everything he is thinking. When asked about their on-screen chemistry, Gaby admitted the pair “still have it now” and that her “joy” is seeing Chris happy. She divulged: “We had [chemistry] from day one. We’re very lucky.

“We didn’t know it was going to be like that but I turned up for the first screen test and we just got on. And three screen tests later we did the show.”

She continued: “We still have it now. I know when he breathes, I know what he’s thinking. The joy for me is seeing Chris happy.”

When quizzed on whether or not fans will ever get to see a revival of the classic 90s show, Gaby spilled it would be “a bit old” nowadays.

The presenter divulged: “I was on Chris’ last show on BBC Radio 2 before he went to Virgin and we were talking about that. We were saying we can’t believe people still ask us [about The Big Breakfast].

“It was over 26 years ago that we started it. It’s lovely that people seem to hold us with fondness in their hearts and Chris and I still love each other very, very much. I have so much love and respect for him.”
