Eid al-Fitr 2019: Donald Trump could witness end of Ramadan (Image: GETTY)
After visiting the Queen at Buckingham Palace, Trump travelled to Regent’s park to stay with the US ambassador, Woody Johnson at Winfield House. Coincidently, Mr Johnson’s House happens to be overlooked by the London Central Mosque. With Trump expected to stay at Winfield House over the next three days, he could well witness the Muslim festival of Eid which marks the end of Ramadan.
The exact date of Eid begins on the sighting of the crescent moon, which indicates that a new month is beginning and therefore could be today or tomorrow.
Trump began his trip to the UK by meeting with Prince Charles, at Buckingham Palace before having a private lunch with the Queen to view a special exhibition of items.
Trump and his wife, Melania then laid a wreath at Westminster Abbey at the grave of the Unknown Warrior.
Finishing the day, Trump attended a banquet at Buckingham Palace with the Queen and 170 guests.
