#FeartheWalkingDead boss says only ‘true to story’ crossovers will happen

Fear the Walking Dead switched a lot of the show up in the last few years as it moved Morgan (played by Lennie James) from the seminal show, The Walking Dead, to its sister show.

Morgan has arrived on the show as one of the new big players in the group.

And as the new leader of the gang, the show’s dynamic has changed drastically, further differentiating the two shows.

This year, Dwight (Austin Amelio) has joined Fear the Walking Dead after spending a number of seasons alongside The Walking Dead characters.

Recently showrunner Ian Goldberg spoke to SYFY about the upcoming change-up, and whether there would be any more Walking Dead stowaways in the spin-off.

He explained: “As it was with Morgan, we will never do [crossovers] indiscriminately.

“It’s all true to the story and what the greater narrative we’re trying to tell is.

“Last season going into this one is a lot about redemption. One thing we saw Dwight do a lot of on The Walking Dead, was he did a lot of bad things in his time.

“He was a bad dude for quite a while. But he was someone who had lost a great deal and was motivated by his love for Sherry, so we’re going to see him wrestling
