The US President used a joint appearance with Prime Minister Theresa May on Tuesday to say that the UK’s taxpayer-funded health service would be “on the table” as part of a “phenomenal” potential transatalantic deal. But in a major U-turn he used TV interview, which aired this morning, to say “I don’t see it being on the table” as the NHS was “something that I would not consider part of trade”.
