What happened in last night’s Love Island 2019? Love Island’s first dumping of 2019 was announced

Anton Danyluk and Joe Garratt were left single after Tommy and Curtis chose their respective partners.

With the Joe and Anton now single, it was revealed that the first dumping of the series would take place at the end of the weeks.

Love Island’s Anton received a text which read: “Anton and Joe, you are now single.

“At the end of the week, all Islanders will take part in a recoupling. Anyone not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the island. #ScotFree #DontBeSourdough.”

Joe and Anton were left visibly annoyed by the announcement with both at danger of being dumped from the villa.

Newly single Joe even needed to have a few moments to himself as he reeled from the news.

The new couples go double dating

The shockwaves caused by Tommy and Curtis’ picks still hadn’t settled down by the time the pair were sent on a double date.

Curtis, Amy, Tommy and Lucie got ready for a date under the stars, despite only being paired up for a matter of minutes.

Tommy admitted to Lucie: “I wanted to go with my heart. I wanted to couple up with you because I believe something was there.”

Lucie was still left torn with her loyalties lying with Joe and quizzed Tommy about his flirting with Amber Gill.

Tommy managed to convince Lucie his attention was solely on her, setting up a tantalising love triangle.

Curtis and Amy’s romance appeared less complicated with both of them mentioning a “natural connection.”
