In the CBS sitcom, Sheldon (played by Jim Parsons) won the Nobel prize alongside Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), but there was a twist.
The Big Bang Theory legends had to jump into the future in order to fix the model and it all seemed normal enough.
Jumping 139 hours and 30 minutes into the future seemed pretty random at the time, but it has been revealed the jump was so much more significant than first thought.
If fans were to watch every single episode of the show in one go it would take five days, 19 hours and 30 minutes to watch the whole thing, according to the Bingeclock.
Put that time into hours and minutes it works out as 139 hours and 30 minutes, the exact length of Sheldon and Leonard’s time jump.
The bosses were clearly trying to have some fun with the fans and end the show based on the nerdy comedy that has made it so successful.
The series also ended in an emotional and fulfilling way for many fans as Penny Hofstadter and Leonard announced they were expecting their first baby.
However, other fans were disappointed by the ending and felt it was too predictable.
One fan tweeted: “I’m kind of mad they made Penny pregnant. Like not every female character needs a baby to validate their existence in the storyline.”
Another added: “I’m disappointed by the predictable Penny pregnant ending and leaving Raj terminally single.”
