Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter) has so far managed to evade death as the down-to-earth and misunderstood superhero, but could season three bring an end to that?
The Netflix series has presented a superhero who also exhibits the very human characteristics not common in comic book superheroes.
However, despite positive reviews from season two, the show has been cancelled as Netflix has cut back its Marvel collection.
With the show coming to an end, could the new villain Gregory Salinger (Jeremy Bobb) be set to bring her down.
Known as Foolkiller in the Marvel comics, he is set to come after Jessica and best friend Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) in the latest instalment.
Although not wearing a costume like in the Marvel comics, he is set to provide the ultimate villainous threat to Jessica and Trish.
In the trailer, she receives a phone call and the voice on the other end tells her she is a “cheater” and told: “You were given every advantage.”
He also tells her: “You have no discipline, just brute force” and forces Jessica to question herself, something which she is good at.
She then asks him what he wants and he replies: “I want you to die.”
It also appears she recognises that this villain is the biggest threat she has ever faced as she reveals to Trish: “He’s smarter than both of us combined.”
