The This Morning favourites couldn’t contain their giggles on the ITV programme yesterday when Phillip Schofield, 57, was forced to treat carefully when reading a tongue-twister link from the autocue. “She’s taken a break from tending her flocks to cook us a summer treat,” he said, with deliberate precision. “We’ll be in the kitchen with Yorkshire shepherdess Alison O’Neil.” Holly Willoughby, 38, started to laugh at the close shave her co-host had with saying a very rude word on the show.
Struggling to continue with what she was supposed to be saying, the presenter eventually succumbed to her giggle fit.
Covering her face with her hands, she apologised reportedly as Phillip also burst into laugher.
“Sorry, sorry, sorry,” she exclaimed. “It was ‘flock’ and ‘cook’ close together!”
“That’s about as dangerous as it’s got recently,” her long-time presenting partner wheezed, still trying and failing to compose himself.
The pair fell about on the sofa as he added: “It could’ve been anything!”
He later explained himself, quipping: “There comes a moment ever so often — because it’s a fast-moving show things change, things are written that you maybe haven’t seen before.
