Thomas Cook is at the centre of a takeover bid from Fosun - will this affect Britons who already have a holiday booked with the company? The UK holiday company, founded in 1841, has endured a torrid year to date which has seen the closure of 21 stores. Today, it confirmed a bid was on the table from the company’s largest shareholder. Yet bosses were first to stress to Express.co.uk that the offer would not put holidays - either vacations already booked, or ones which could be arranged - in any jeopardy.
