Kent Police said they were responding to a traffic accident between junctions four and five, near Sevenoaks, when they discovered the sink holes in the central reservation. The road was closed overnight and will remain closed through the morning rush hour “due to a serious road defect” and a road diversion is in place, Highways England said. Since the discovery at around 11.30pm last night, the M25 clockwise has been fully re-opened. At just before 7am, Highways England announced the M25 anti-clockwise is now fully open.
