Game of Thrones fans saw a huge amount of character deaths in the final season this year. As each character was killed off, viewers were left distraught by the dwindling number of people left in the show. However Robb Stark actor Richard Madden has now spoken out about his character’s death, and revealed he was “thankful” to leave it behind. Viewers will remember Robb was killed off in the penultimate episode of season three whilst attending a wedding hosted by Walder Frey (played by David Bradley). At the time, the Red Wedding was extremely shocking, and left viewers utterly heartbroken at the death of a number of main characters. However traumatising the event was for a number of viewers, Robb star Richard recently spoke out about leaving the show. Speaking to Amy Adams on Variety’s Actors on Actors, he said: “It was such a hard thing to finish because from first pilot to my death was five years. “But five years was a great time to be on the show. It helped me so much with my career and experience.” Despite the length of time he played the role of Robb, he continued: “I learned a lot from shooting 30 hours of television. “You really start to learn the trade doing that.
